Save Money & Help Us Too!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this site! We learned about this site through Kelly Sutton on Fox 17's Tennessee Mornings, and it has already saved us TONS of money on Christmas presents AND earned us some cash back! Our first purchase was two small items at, and we earned $4.02 back. Ok...we could tell you the two small items, but our children read this blog. :/

Honestly, we have purchased 95% of our Christmas presents online this year. We have saved money with, coupon/promo codes and NO SALES TAX. Plus, we're not buying those little extra things while walking through the stores.

How can help YOU? It gives YOU up to 26% Cash Back every time you shop online. You can shop at over 1,000 stores including eBay, JCPenney, Macy's, Nordstrom,, Wal-Mart, Kohl's and Home Depot. Plus, you get additional savings with exclusive coupons, free shipping offers, and limited-time sales!

How can help US? When you sign up and make your first purchase, we'll receive a $5 bonus! It's a WIN-WIN! For us to receive the credit, you MUST click here or on one of the other links within this post. Signing up is FREE and takes about 15 seconds.

Bad News First

Dr. Bernard, head of the adoption agency, has indicated that "it is long and dark days in Haiti right now with the turmoil about the election for their new president." He asked for all of us to pray for Haiti and its people. Also, please pray that they seek Christ Jesus as the majority of Haitians practice voodoo.

"I am the light of the world.
He who follows Me
shall not walk in darkness,
but have the light of life.
- John 8:12

Dr. Bernard will be receiving an email from us shortly requesting approval for adoption. Please bathe this request in prayer! We're not sure how long this process will take, but we will let you know the minute we receive an answer.

Don't forget that Friday, December 10th is the last day to order Lia Sophia jewelry. Details are listed above underneath the tab "Fundraisers."

Oh!!!! Oh!!!! Oh!!!!! I almost forgot to share some FANTASTIC news! Kelly Sutton from Tennessee Mornings on Fox 17 and Shane Tallant from Designed to Sell offered to help us put together and host a Songwriter's Night to benefit our adoption! Seriously! How cool is that?!?!?!

Great News!

We had an adoption meeting yesterday at church, and received some GREAT NEWS! The timeframe is now 12-18 months and the cost has been reduced by $5,000! God is so good!

I expected for Trey and I to have several fundraisers (like the Lia Sophia jewelry party) and yard sales in order to afford the adoption. What I did not expect was for our friends and family to offer financial contributions. I must admit that I am amazed and humbled.

Never before have I trusted in God like I am through this adoption process. Never. Never have I given 100% of myself to Him. I've always wanted some type of control, but I gave that up at the beginning of this process. I am in tears just writing this, because my God - your God - has shown up in a way that I have never experienced. I know we will have rough times, but God will carry us through them.

I've thought about why I have been able to finally give 100%, and I truly believe it is because I have an amazing husband who prays with me, for me and for our family every single day. He does not miss one day! I am blessed to have him in my life, our children are blessed, and one day soon, Beatrice will a part of this.

With the financial blessings received, we have been able to start the Home Study application process. From our understanding, it takes two to six months to complete - please pray for two! Once the Home Study has been completed, we will be able to set up an Abba account. All donations to Abba in our name is tax-deductible and our church, Long Hollow Baptist, will match up to $1,500! So, a $20 donation will become $40! I'll let everyone know when that is ready.

Until then, please do not forget that you can still order Lia Sophia jewelry through this Friday. The instructions to order online are at the top of this page.

If you would like to receive a notice when a new post is written, please email me at and I'll add you to the list.

Thanks and many blessings,
